The Undiet Company is for young women who have been burned by diets in the past and now have lasting mental and physical effects.
These lasting effects are different for everyone, but could include: emotional and binge eating issues, food obsession, low self-esteem, fixation on body image and weight, feeling anxious around food, and self-imposed food rules (e.g., what foods you can and can't eat, when you can eat, how often you eat etc.).
Whatever food challenges you're facing, The Undiet Company will help you heal your relationship with food with our unique 'un-diet' approach.
Previously known as KJ Wellness, The Undiet Company was founded by Mikaela Schifferle in 2018. Starting out as a healthy meal delivery service, Melbourne residents could order portioned healthy meals for the week that were developed and prepared by a qualified nutritionist.
Then, in 2019 The transformed into a business that primarily focused on helping people lose weight in a sustainable manner.
3 years later, in 2022, The Undiet Company changed its business model once again and transitioned to a business that specialises in helping people stop binge eating and heal their relationship with food. This is where Mikaela's passions most strongly lie.
As the business grew and we expanded our team, we made the decision in 2024 to rebrand from KJ Wellness to The Undiet Company.
My name is Mikaela Schifferle and I'm the founder of The Undiet Company. Here's what you need to know about me...
I'm a former yo-yo dieting fanatic turned qualified nutritionist and 'un-dieting' activist. But I haven't always believed in the powers of 'un-dieting' (aka – ditching diets).
In fact, I spent many years as a weight loss specialist and even spent a big chunk of my career working with one of the world's biggest weight loss companies (Weight Watchers). I also founded my own weight loss business that focused on using evidence-based nutrition to help people lose weight in a more sustainable manner.
But even then, I saw the terrible effects that weight loss obsession can have on people...
Countless times, I saw weight loss journeys destroy people's relationships with food and greatly affect their mental health. People who used to be happy and healthy became dangerously obsessed with food and started bingeing and heavily restricting certain foods. This obsession affected their social lives and their relationships and ultimately led to long-term mental health and body image issues.
It was really sad to watch. And as someone who spent every day of my life in the weight loss industry, I was also facing similar issues myself...
I was in a constant cycle of restricting and binge eating, and had so many rules about what I could and couldn't eat. I was always anxious to eat out with friends and was religious about checking the nutritional label of everything I put in my body (always looking for the lowest calorie options).
It was exhausting and ... to be honest ... I wasn't very happy.
Since 2019, I've been on a journey to heal my own relationship with food – and I'm thankful to say that the journey has been a massive success!
Now I'm someone who lives a healthy, balanced lifestyle and feels amazing. I eat ALL foods, never skip a meal (including dessert), and yet … I still look pretty darn good. I have an awesome relationship with food, I live an amazing life and couldn't be happier!
Now it's my mission to help other women, who have been burned by dieting, achieve something similar. I've already helped hundreds of other women heal their relationship with food ... and now, I want to help you too!
